Bar Games 101 (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website bargames101.tv. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our site you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.
Information We Collect
- Email address — only if you voluntarily sign up for our newsletter or download a free printable. We use it to send game rules, party tips, and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Usage data — like most websites, we collect anonymous analytics through Google Analytics 4 (pages visited, approximate location by region, device and browser type, referring site, time on page) to understand what content is useful and improve the site. We do not use this data to identify you personally.
- Cookies — we and our analytics/advertising partners set cookies and similar identifiers, including the Google Analytics cookie. You can disable or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site still works without them.
What we don’t collect: we never ask for or store payment card details, government IDs, or precise location. Our printable products are sold through Etsy and Stripe, and those checkouts happen on their systems under their privacy policies — we only see that an order was placed.
How We Use Your Information
- To send newsletters and printables you requested.
- To measure and improve site content and performance.
- To display relevant content and, where applicable, ads.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third parties that may process limited data under their own privacy policies, including:
- Google Analytics — anonymous site analytics.
- Email providers — to deliver newsletters.
- Amazon Associates — some links are affiliate links; we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.
- Etsy — our printable products are sold and fulfilled through Etsy, which handles checkout and payment.
- Pinterest— we publish and schedule our own branded pins, which link back to pages on bargames101.tv. We use Pinterest to distribute our own content only; we do not use it to collect, import, or store data about Pinterest users, and we do not access anyone else’s Pinterest account.
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery, which processes standard server logs including IP addresses for security and performance.
Affiliate Disclosure
Bar Games 101 participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates Program. When you buy through our links, we may earn a commission. This never affects the price you pay and does not influence our recommendations.
Your Choices
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link at the bottom of any newsletter — it takes effect immediately and we don’t email you again.
- Disable or clear cookies in your browser.
- Opt out of Google Analytics entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us (below). We’ll respond within 30 days.
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front — but access and deletion requests are always honored. Just contact us using the route below and tell us which you want.
Data Retention & Security
We keep newsletter subscriber emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, at which point they are removed from our sending list. Analytics data is retained on Google’s default schedule (currently 14 months) and is not personally identifiable. Our site is served over HTTPS, and subscriber data is held with reputable email and hosting providers behind access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we don’t hold sensitive data in the first place.
Children’s Privacy
Our content is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
